Eric Mc
This was started last year on holiday as a "quickie". It only took me 18 months to finally finish it The kit is actually of the Apache ground attack version so I had to modify it slightly to bring it closer to the recce version used by the RAF. I've always liked the early Mustangs and felt they were unfairly maligned.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Excellent work on this Mustang 1. And i agree with you on the Allison powered versions not getting credit where credit is due. Edited October 5, 2017 by Corsairfoxfouruncle

Bedders
Like it very much. I too feel that the early ones were unfairly maligned - they performed well in the role that they made their own with the RAF. Justin
Eric Mc
They were certainly a lot more confidence inspiring for their pilots than the aircraft they replaced i.e. the Lysander.
Beard
That's nice. I've got several Academy P-51 (Mustang 1a) in the stash and quite like the idea of a 'simple' conversion to a Mustang 1 (I know the Allison-engined Mustangs are a minefield but I'd be happy and no-one would see it). Where did you get the 613 squadron transfers?
Paramedic
A lovely build, I am a big "fan" of those Mk Is and Mk. Ia´s. Looks nice in that camo too. Was glad to know I walked on "sacred" ground when I last visited your fine country (Gatwick) where atleast some took off from for the Dieppe raid. Found that cool.. kapam
Very cool build! The early Mustangs have a certain eye-pleasing symmetry to them I feel. Good work.
