Usually Zvezda makes new models of Nazis (Bf 109F-2, Bf 109F-4, Bf-109G-6 in 1/48 scale), Soviet WWII planes (La-5, La-5FN, Su-2 and Pe-2 in 1/48 scale) or modern Russian planes (Su-27SM, Su-33, MiG-29SM and MiG-29SMT all in 1/72 scale) now. Therefore, one should not wait for a models of USAAF, RAF or Lend-Lease aircraft. Maybe it will be Fw 190, La-7 or up-scale of Su-27 or Mig-29. But I think, it will be WWII plane, as Fw 190 or La-7.

YAK 11.

Czech Mate :-D

A Yak-11 for sure, but with separate sprue for Mr Awesome and Perestroika/Czech Mate parts, that's bound to be it!

Dreams are free. Surely a Moose would do well for them though?

While browsing the www for pictures of Algerian and Burmese Yak-130s (!), I came across the following artwork, which seems to be the result of efforts by the same person usually doing Zvezda boxarts. I won't post any link to the original source (it is a picture sharing site), because I don't want to get anyone into trouble should this turn out to be the supposed-to-be-secret upcoming Zvezda 1/48 kit:

Mil Mi 24D or Mil Mi 28

I read about a new tool Hind elsewhere and about two years ago here. But my memory says it was Avangarde Models. Anyhow - a new Hind would be quite nice and now that I have bought some Cobra Company goodies on evil bay lately to dress up my MiniHobby kit it has become much more likely:-)

everyone failed into making a decent 1/72 Mig-17 and if Zvezda releases it in the wrong scale I'm going to invade Russia.

That was a Hip, not a Hind.  Annetra (who distribute AMK in the Czech Republic, and seem to have hired AMK to produce it) did say that if the sales were good enough, they would like to produce a Hind at some point in the future... but I'd put that down more to long term planning and a bit of marketing, rather than an actual, active project.  Particularly given the fact that there's hasn't been a peep about the Hip for at least a year.

And again, re: the MiG-17, it's an old painting by a guy that paints aircraft.  Don't get your hopes up that it'll be the next Zvezda kit.  Just like Koike Shigeo paints a lot of stuff outside of his Hasegawa box art, not every one of Andrey Zhirnov's paintings is done for Zvezda.

Here's an Su-30: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pGfCuHgFvHE/TefRoBK5ntI/AAAAAAAAAO0/snO-Q3YALo0/s1600/Su-30-0006.jpg

All things considered I'd join the queue for a good 1/48 MiG-15. For such an iconic aircraft it's been treated badly by the kit producers. I think a Hind would be good for the same reasons, especially after watching them in the opening sequence of the Russian Afghanistan film Company 19(?)
