DaveJL
Small bit done this week. All ordnance painted, glossed, and weathered. The decals for the kit weapons were poor and broke up in the water so i've left them off: Seats, wheels and FOD covers all ready to go: Will hopefully have the airframe painted next week. DaveJL
Good bit of progress over the last few days. Landing gear built up and weathered: Exhausts: Tail fins and stabilisers: Airframe: Quite pleased with it so far. A few small areas need cleaned up and there's a small bit of detailing, including the gun panels, to be done before gloss and decals. The two darker shades of grey were applied freehand. More soon. DaveJL
No updates as i've been away on a short trip, but found this picture this morning and thought it was superb: https://i2.wp.com/su-27flanker.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/11223951_10153873075824156_7562769714502036822_n.jpg
DaveJL
Decals on: FOD covers also added. All decals sealed in with a top coat of gloss. Will hopefully get the panel line wash on at the weekend. Also need to add some metallic variation to the cannon area and exhaust panels, but will do this with pastels and dry brushing once a flat coat is on. More soon. DaveJL
Productive day off work. Panel wash went on first thing: Off after about 30 minutes: I then set about adding the landing gear, ordnance, tail fins, seats and some antennae: I do like the look of a fully loaded Flanker! I've the canopy and windshield prepped so these will go on next, followed by the stabilisers and exhausts. More soon. Dave
