The Tomohawk Kid
Crikey, I didn't think they had such a back catalogue. Were Maintrack linked to Esoteric? Thomo.
Guest
No, but Maintrack had several offshoots. Airways and Britavia were two I believe. Also Box Kites and Touch Down.

No, you're probably thinking of Esoteric's cooperation with Rareplane on a couple of projects like the Savage and the Guardian. Think Esoteric's main contribution was the excellent transfers. As I recall, Gordon Stevens (of Rareplane fame) also did some masters for Maintrack and Esoteric - that is the only connection I know of.
Guest
Quite a few of the later Project X kits were designed by Gordon Stevens - the P.1121, Type 545 and SR.177 being several of his. I've a feeling he did the Box Kits kits too.

Mr T
Last year I built the P1121. Not too bad, but the styrene sheet used was a bit on the thin side and this caused a few problems with the fuselage. Go a couple more to build, fancy the Supermarine 545 next

Nigel Bunker
In fairness, it started at £20.00 which is a reasonable price and if people wish to bid the price up, who is to stop them?
Caerbannog
If you can find one, the prices are not so extreeme here in Germany. I found a few in a small shop in Essen and bought the lot for 10 Euro each. Still - selling them here on evil bay will not bring that amount of cash, so I will keep them. The Have Blue I have is strangly 1:48 scale, so maybe they had another one in 1:72, hence the two article numbers in the list above? Rene

Parents who kick them out of the computer because they get up early tomorrow and go to school? But seriously, during the course of trading my forecast was that they would bargain until the Gloster E.1/44 from Maintrack price reached the level announced future resin kit. In the end, that's what happened. It makes sense to pay a high price for vacuform in the presence of resin, only if the resin curve is too disgraceful! In the case of Gloster E.1/44 , this is not the case! On 10/1/2018 at 5:02 PM, Caerbannog said: If you can find one, the prices are not so extreeme here in Germany. In little hobby shop almost always may see and paying some interesting but the problem is that very few people know about the small hobby shop ones and their assortment. But I am now exploring the Internet assortment of hobby shop's Essen! No interesting! No fighter, clearly experimental aircraft! For me interesting now in first stage: PX28 Gloster E1/44 PX33 Douglas F5D-1 Skylancer because its without alternative. But I suppose, what Gloster E1/44 maybe maked some from Czech manufacturers. Second stage it's: PX8 Hawker P1081 PX32 Vought F8U-3 Super Crusader PX34 de Havilland DH 110 Because: - Hawker P1081 was conversion resin set. - Vought F8U-3 Super Crusader was vacu Airmodel, it's no rare. But if there is a choice between Airmodel and Maintrack . I will always choose Maintrack - de Havilland DH 110, I have not studied this question, but theoretically there should be the possibility of reverse conversion Sea Vixen in prototype? Third stage: PX31 Lockheed XF-90 PX39 North American YF-93A I have this vacu models XF-90 & YF-93 from other manufacturers, but their quality does not quite suit me. B.R. Mr T
Hi Serge, have a look at the Whirlykits site as they have re-released some of the Maintrack kits, but I am not sure what is currently available, l. The DH110 was available and the aircraft was a fair bit different to the Sea Vixen.
