The finished product after over a years work. BCWM A-10 at the official roll out. Britmodeller members ghaynes, sparker, Julien and yours truly have all had a hand in this somewhere along the line.

... And you've all made a great job of it :clap2: Did you manage to get your vital bodily fluids off the undersides?

Yes. In the A-10 community, it's known as a 'Hogbite'.

The finished article seems that the year was very wel spent indeed! One question though, whose ceiling will it hang from???

Very nice job.

Did you have to add nose weight?

Almost. It's minus gun and engines. If you stand on the tailplane, it will rock!

I asked if we were going to pre-shade it. We decided on getting a water bomber to fly over loaded with some Flory wash.

We have 5 more airframes under restoration, and the Harrier needs a repaint. That's before we look at levering some airframes out of deep store at various locations.

location

I was in Woodbridge 4 weeks ago, was going to come over to have a look at the museum, spotted the signs, didn't know it existed but then got diverted by the shops and food. Kicking myself now ! Wouldn't mind giving a hand over there sometime.

We would be pleased to see you. There are two more public days this year, plus an airfield walk, all in October, plus meeting evenings on the second thursday of each month.

Extremely nice.  Just building a 1/48 version WR tail code A-10 & trying to use your pic for colour references.  Must come & see her for real.  Even stayed at a campsite in Woodbridge & didn't make it over to the museum.

NMUSAF will not permit us to hang stuff off the airframe. There are terms and conditions of loan, which has to be renewed annually. In reality it should be 'stuffed and mounted'. Best we can do is display inert ordnance on a weapons trolley.
