Douglas World Cruiser

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the detail pictures of the wings and tail plane. I thought you applied the orange base to use it as a pre-shade for the yellow coat but seems that you applied as many yellow coats as needed to make the orange shade completely disappear?

Good work on the anchor.

Cheers

Go do it.

Its not a hard kit. It needs a bit of care and a wee bit of fettling in places.

Of all the biplanes I've done, putiing the top wing on this was a so easy and went perfectly first time

Very nice build!

Some Douglas DT2, a version of World Cruiser, were still in use in Norway in 1940. They were equipped wih AS Pather engines and four blades wooden props. I have in stash Williams Bross DWC kit intending to do DT2 in Norwegian colours. I wish it will turn out as good as yours DWC....

Cheers
