Schweinebacke
I am building the Hasegawa 1/48 F-16. I have noticed that all F-16s havea sort of a black line running around the canopy. I find it difficult to replicate this. My Eduard mask set does not include this feature. Any suggestions ? Thanks Tom
madcat911
Do it the old fashioned way with masking tape, a modelling knife and a ruler? Mark
Fernando
Hi, Schweinebacke, That is the canopy sealer. Use the mask Eduard provides as a template for a new mask. IMHO you could first paint the frame in the interior colour (usually Black) AND the sealer with your new mask, then replace it with the Eduard mask (that should overlap the sealer band) and paint the external colour. Once you take this out, a thin Black edge should be left visible. I should emphasize I have never tried this myself. Ich drucke dir meine Daumen. Hope that helps. Romel
you can try to cut with cuter and ruler from tamiya tape 1 mm line and follow the canopy line. Edited October 22, 2017 by Romel
