I apologize for lack of progress in reports about Dougls DT 2 and MF 11 Hoever. I have some more work including prepring to duty trip to Paris, where  I am from yesterday. I hope to have some progress soon after return home.

Cheers

The exhaust collector will be added later.

I also made first attempt to paint national Norwegian insignia

Hi,

Today I was detailing Douglas DT 2 C (Norway, 1940)

The DT 2 C had slots which were not present in DWC. I added them of scratch

I 've just learnt how paste photos now from Flickr

The Norwegian markings are painted except blue strip on tail and on slots. They will be trimmed when dry

Exhaust collectors I made from scratch

On last photo oil cooler is seen.

It is also here:

I made it using nylonthread 0.15 mm wrapped around some piece of wood, glued with CA together. I hope it looks OK.

The new method of inserting photos is described by NavyBird post #74 here

Best regards

Jerzy-Wojtek

Douglas DT 2 is almost finished.

I made some detailing, applied decals "84"  and cover with matt varnish. I have chosen "84" since this particular machine survived attack on 9.04.1940 and even got later to German hands, so it was last existing DT 2 I think.

So current look is following:

I hope to go with her to gallery after some small corrections. The weathering is very moderate, since photos shows the real thing in a very good condition. However, perhaps I will have to wait for Saturday for a day-light to do photos of finished model.

BTW - only anchor is still missing - I've just painted it.

There is still third machine declared in this GB by me. I hope to finish Hoever MF 11  before 7th Jan. Still there is a hope for it.

To be cont,

Jerzy-Wojtek

I agree with the others: looks very good with the rigging and decals finished! I wouldn't know about the anchor if you didn't mention it :)

Cheers

Hi,

Mrs JWM is preparing Christmas Eve dinner so I've hidden in my hobby room and made some work on Hoever MF 11- the last of trio planned to build in this GB by me.

I glued struts for floats and made some detailing around tail. DO not worry about blue strip - I just made background colour, this strip will be a decal.
