RAF Jags on exercise,  what's not to like? The smokey trail in the XX968 photo is worth a thousand words alone, an F4 in it's natural habitat.

Thanks for posting these evocative photos.

Lovely evocative photos and excellent scans. What equipment do you use to do your scans?

Hi Mark,

I'm using an Epson V550 Photo scanner. I can only load four slides at a time, so it can be a slow process. Using Photoshop to format and clean the images on my iMac.

great photos thanks. I recently went to the Rugby Aviation Group for a talk on the first Bucanneers visit to Red Flag. One of the best i have ever been to and made me proud to be British

I'd been to a number of Red Flag debriefs (and some of the informal after action crew sessions). The Brits always got great reviews, particularly the low flying amongst the rocks. One of the aggressor guys made the comment that they were expecting the Jags to be easy marks because they were supposed to be 'underpowered'. After the first session they made a point to not underestimate them again.
