What equipment do you use to do your scans?

Hi Mark,

I'm using an Epson V550 Photo scanner. I can only load four slides at a time, so it can be a slow process. Using Photoshop to format and clean the images on my iMac.

great photos thanks. I recently went to the Rugby Aviation Group for a talk on the first Bucanneers visit to Red Flag. One of the best i have ever been to and made me proud to be British

I'd been to a number of Red Flag debriefs (and some of the informal after action crew sessions). The Brits always got great reviews, particularly the low flying amongst the rocks. One of the aggressor guys made the comment that they were expecting the Jags to be easy marks because they were supposed to be 'underpowered'. After the first session they made a point to not underestimate them again.

The latest issue of The Hook was delivered in the post this weekend. The Hook is the quarterly journal of the Tailhook Association. There's a small section titled "Bounces" for short miscellaneous quotes, anecdotes, and bits of trivia. Under "Bounces" was this quote from an unidentified EA-6B Prowler EWO:

"My first Red Flag Exercise was memorable for many reasons. As an EA-6B electronic countermeasures officer (ECMO), about two weeks our of the Replacement Air Group (RAG), it was like drinking from a fire hose. Scooting across the range at 200 feet and 500 knots and having a division of Royal Air Force Jaguars go underneath was an eye opener."
