Saw this kit on line and thought I would have a go,I'm not much of a figure painter, but liked them so much thought I would have a go,The kit has 3 sets German/British/French (1914) 4 of each figures with plenty of extras, all detail looks to be fine by me,a plus is that I have a WW1 ambulance to build and some of the French kit will be used for it,There is a pic I posted that is of the finished figures, hope mine will look half as good.Cheers.tn_187e0ec0-e452-4a37-bce4-3a7cc5a418d4.tn_2c0a440f-9ed6-44a5-b8e3-6a86708ff8e1.tn_042975c3-569d-4e30-b34a-3676597c46a6.tn_b52e78b9-4dd1-40a4-93c9-b1a76a3bda0c.

Hi I have progressed a little with these figures, they went together very well just had a little trouble with the French figures, they all have very good detail and the faces have great expressions, the kit has so many extras I had to stop as their legs were starting to bend with all the load they were carrying:D Now to the painting Cheers.tn_beced209-c105-46ae-b7ec-ce6a8a350e20.tn_4d710000-dee9-4b50-bbf0-3030154f3b32.

These are the ICM figures. They're very nice indeed.

John

Yes they are, seems Revell boxed them, don't know if they came as one with ICM,but for my dollar they were good value,I now have so many small extras to use at a later date with my other kits.Cheers.

Just a little up date to show I am progressing all be it a bit slow, the painting is coming along fine and with every coat they are becoming more real, can't praise this kit enough the detailing  to me is very well done, the only thing I would do differently is to cut off the bayonets and glue them on last I have broken them so many times, and the French bayonets are so long.tn_9916c430-cd67-4d84-82e8-df529edf8d12.

They are a good set of figures. Those French turn backs on the overcoats can be confusing at first.

Sure right there they had me stumped till I got the first one right, kept putting it on up side down, maybe because I live down under:wink: Thanks.

ICM make some very nice WW1 figures, nice enough to test my resolve to stick to 1/72 aircraft, and you're doing a nice job. I especially like the German second from right, the pose looks quite menacing.

Thanks yes all the figures have good poses, this kit would be a good diversion from your aircraft, the Englishman and Frenchman with just pistols and a cane must have had some nerves rushing into the front line with just these weapons, brave men indeed.

Brave men, who wouldn't have lived very long.

Have finished painting some figures thought I would put up some pics, will have a spell for a while and get back to my other AFV,give full credit to those who paint figures all the time,is taking a toll on my eyes, have never used my magnifier so much.tn_92e837eb-074b-4cad-b4c8-26dedd6ac287.tn_17fc870b-2022-4e0f-95b5-084d845efcd9.tn_ae131e69-0e8c-4b83-9f5a-db9daaac4bcd.tn_b67cfdd5-89c0-4c17-955d-854f8105eb60.tn_1ab1fbae-2f93-4a56-8389-8a52a2bd55c4.

But these figures are huge Jim. Get yourself a magnifying headset, life becomes so much easier.

This is all you need and they're very cheap

Nice work Jim but the Tommy ought not to have a tin hat, they weren't general issue until1916.

Thanks I know a few of the things in the kit were not right for the period as I read a very good review on the kit before building them, but I just wanted to add them to there kit, who's to say these soldiers did not fight on until the end of the war??Cheers.

Thanks for that I already have them with extra lenses also a large magnifier that hangs round the neck and also one with a flexible arm and built in diolights,I have cataracts and glaucoma waiting for op but in this country have to be dying before you can have anything done that is why I have trouble.

Of course some members of the original BEF served until the end of the war but, if it's toward the end, he ought to have a gas mask case and, as he appears to be in combat (or at least in the front line), he's leaving it a little late to be wearing his tin hat (I don't know about you, but I'd put it on well before I entered a front-line trench).

I think you're doing a great job with the figures and you wouldn't want an anachronism to slip in, my comment was constructive rather than picky.

Gotcha Jim. You need the plastic lenses internally not externally. Good luck with that, I've been lucky enough to not need it (yet).
