AWFK10
According to an old magazine article: The wings and fuselage are accurate. The engine nacelles are too thin - the author inserted a shim of 40 thou plasticard. Fins and rudders are undersize, about 1/8" too short in length - he made new ones. The tailbooms are undersized - but, after mentioning this, he doesn't actually seem to have done anything about it, so I guess it's not by much. The tailplane is undersized - again, he scratchbuilt a new one. The propellors are too long - he shortened them.
maclovin
Thanks for your response, very helpful. I´ve printed a set of plans found on the internet and put it against the kit parts and looks very promising. You have to remember its a kit from the 60´s I´ve found very little info here, WIP or RFI sections. Even with the new ICM kit recently release. Well, Airfix should take note on this and bring us a new kit. Find the ICM kit in my country is almost an impossible mission. Thanks again Carlos in South America. I'm from the 60s too, so kits like this suit me quite well! Actually, I've got an Airfix Fw189 stashed, somewhere. Regards Patrick
Seahawk
Many thanks. Looking through Patrick's list I thought that or the 3-parter in Modelworld the most likely candidates. Yes, think I've got an Airfix Fw 189 stashed away somewhere.
