What's keeping all this delicate equipment from bouncing across the shack

As I recall the equipment is all on shock absorbing feet and they are probably attached via same..

Of the few pics I have and there is no evidence

and you know to much and you will have to be eliminated

The radio shack looks like I could sit down there and call home just like when I was at sea. Stuart does have a point though, the radios would have been secured in some fashion (On the suppliers and tugs I sailed on either secured to the bulkhead, fasten down with a metal strap or fitted to a frame that angled backwards. All of these in combination with rubber dampers underneath the equipment).

Window dressing completed !

I've added the clock complete with brass bezel and mahogany back. Illustrations of the signal flags that I believe were in use at that time.

Signal pad and pencil,

Mug and head phones. Radio spares in a packing case. Riveteers please note as per health and safety...... It's secured to two ring bolts firmly bolted through the bulkhead

Next came the split doors into the alley way. Vent louvres form by drawing onto foil laid on a cutting mat, gives a good impression if you'll pardon the pun

This gives the idea of what's viewable through the side. Difficult to capture on a pocket camera but you get the idea. The addition of LEDs will increase viewability....

Again difficult to capture. I'm leaving the cut away like this until I get a better idea of the view when the cut away wheelhouse is in position.

Hope you approve of my Radio Shack and do bear in mind this is buried in the bowels of the vessel

Thanks for stopping by

Really great radio room Kev!   Very nice detail on the boxes.  I like the view through the hatch, it makes me want to know whats going on down there.

Reading this a number a scenarios present themselves

A/  I knew they had gagged/substituted you, you've been far to pleasant!

B/ The therapy is working, not so good

C/  You're feeding the drugs to the pot plants

Welcome back oh tentacled one. May I ask a personal question? Could you give me an idea how many extra appendages / whips you have?

You can see where this is going ...... just how fast do I have to work?

Just to prove bits are moving .....

I wasn't happy with the planking particularly the inside planks I had going the wrong way :banghead:

P1080651 (Copy)

The frames in the middle flank a porthole

Forming up the frames/settee. Problems caused because the thickness of the planking is around 1" (25mm) around 0.7mm not 2/3mm as per the kit.

Locker/wardrobe added

P1080653 (Copy)

The oval shape piece on the cushion is a lid for locker behind the seat back.

Birds eye. Quarter circle top left shack is basin in heads
