Both cinematographic masterpieces Rambo 3 and Red Dawn featured Puma's dressed up as Hinds.

Cheers,

..and there were even Sikorsky S55s dressed up as Hinds, note the pilot sat up behind the 'Hind engine inlets'

They looked more like a Hind! If I reember right these were used for training. There was a need for something that did look like the Mi-24.

Best regards

Indeed - the QS-55 conversions were used for US Army training as aggressors.

I really need absolutely dead centre front on, and rear on pics for references, so your V shot fits the bill nicely.

My pic of the Mi-24V at the Great Patriotic War Museum, Kiev (as it was in 2010)...... (I walked round the ramparts in the background to take some pics)

Freshly painted Mi-24V at the State Aviation Museum, Zhulaniy, Kiev, 2010.....

Head-on shot of a 'Krokodil' at Zhulaniy for 71chally...... you can clearly see the offset rear fuselage....
