Rémi
Hi This is my new build This time, I choose the eduard Spitfire. A friend would have a new model in his collection, and I proposed to build this kit I choose the Spitfire MkIXc early box. And my friend choose the EN133 model The kit is superb with a very fine engraved. My first fitting try show me that this kit should not need some filler or in very small part. I start with the cockpit. The kit offer the dashboard in PE parts. But after painting the styrene part, I prefere to use it. For the bakelite seat, I use the gunze paint H37(2 parts) and H13(3 parts) with a little few of yellow My cockpit looks like that Edited September 5, 2017 by Rémi
Biggles87
That's a nice clean cockpit, I'm sure it will become " used " looking before you have finished with it. John

Rémi
Hi The next step : paint marks I didn't maide orignal I use the original decals. I scan it and make some mask with a silhouette printer It's a long process especially when you paint the fuselage round
Rémi
Hi all A little advance I finish to set the decals. I paint the black line for a good result and because sort decals is always difficult to set. I paint also the exhaust pipes with some rust pigments. But the color is too orange and when I paint the exhaust marks on fuselage with heavy dilluted brown I use it to correct the color I passed a sepia juice in panel line. Now it is the time to spray the final coat with 50% matt and 50% glanze coat. I can unmask the canopy and my Spitfire is in final stage to exit my production line I should make some wear marks and the landing gear. And I'm in this step

Biggles87
That's looking really good, did you use the split upper cowl panels supplied in the kit? If you did you,ve done a splendid job getting rid of the seam. John
Rémi
Many thanks for all the answers Yes I use the upper cowl of the kit. I have to use several time the filler to obtain a good result. I think this is the only difficulty for this kit (may be the exhaust pipe too) I have finish it last night And I make a post on "ready for inspection" section
