corsaircorp
Oh Dears ! I entered the hospital this morning with one and a half functional hands ! And now look.... No hands ! Holy Molly, that's a mess !! Once again, I waked up in the middle of the operation, but they think of me as an English. Since I spoke English all the while of the operation, speaking about Corsair and Spitfires, I think that I'm done !!! I only spoke french to ask the nurses to tell my wife that I really love her !! Too much war movie in my infancy for sure ! And for the meal dear @TonyTiger66 just look ! Just enforcing the legend !! The nurses told me that the surgeon has explained what is a Corsair and a Spitfire because they were wondering about my heavy solid Blaaaah blaaah ! so they were laughing when driving me in my room ! If I have made their day, that's good for me. No modelling for me today. Take care and have a nice modelling time. Sincerely! CC No no no ! Won't tell how I pushed on the trigger of my camera 4

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, The last days were pretty difficults for me. Pain + Squabblings + Finishing my daughter's room... But I managed to make some modelling, even if I did'nt post Nothing. Paint finished, Steely Dan is glad to be out again !! Some corrections left to be done... The more I use it, the more I like these Alclad II paints ! some little parts to add, the sprues are almost empty Rigging is on his way too ! The leather Helmet of Steely Dan has lost some of its paint in the masking Will correct it, That's a piece of luck that I get 2 of this kit since they only give 2 orange triangles !! The NMF version need 6... Camouflaged one only 4 Okay Dears, Have a very nice modelling time !! Sincerely/ CC

TonyTiger66
The Ryan is looking very good CC. On the floats it looks a bit like a Schneider Tropy sports aircraft. I hope that the surgeon wired you up correctly again; that’s quite a lot of sewing ! It sounds like you gave them an entertaining time in the surgery. ”Tell my wife...” https://youtu.be/X2lUPtLc-FU Hope you have a speedy recovery CC Best regards TonyT

Thank for the kind words, tomorrow they will check the wound and get the "rigging" out ! Take care and have a good modelling time ! Sincerely. The Spadgent
Well what on earth do we have here? How did i not know this was going on? Brilliant looking bird and a joy to catch up with. I'll be following now for sure. October must be the month for hospitals huh? Hope your hand heals well, it looks very painful. A trooper for painting in that state. Fair winds CC. I'll look forward to the next few steps with baited breath. Now just be careful with your other hand. Hope that's over now, tomorrow I may be getting free from all that rigging in my hand. You're right, I must be carefull But I'm not as usual. Sorry but still crazy after all these years !!! Thanks Paul ! I really like your black cat, and I will inspire myself (shamelessly copy) your way to go for my Marine's Corsair ! Well many thanks for the kind words. Have a good modelling time ! corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Still I'm in the race with the Ryan ! The Spaghetti incident is now fixed ... Based on the photos, I think that the rigging is complete... Testors's plan is well ... a very simplified one ! Now I must find some black lettering, seem to be about the same than the U.S one... Or bringing it back from SMW... I'm glad of my job (at least today...) Take care and have a good modelling time 8 Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello dears, Spaghetti incident is sorted and painted ! You Guys may be know this, but nonetheless, I will share because it has happened twice to me !! When painting the EZ lines, sometimes it let loose with the paint... Do not worry, it will be straight again when drying ! But if you already let it loose for some reason, it will not straighten by itself ! Have a good modelling time ! Sincerely CC
Dazey
Hi CC, The Ryan is looking good! I haven't used EZ line, but I wonder if the same would happen in high humidity? Can you carefully heat the line (say, with a small soldering iron at a distance) to make the line taught again? Regards, David

Regards, David Hello David, No, not at all, it's just when the line is being painted. I store my finished kits in a not so dry place and no problems occured. Since it is resin threads don't know the effect of heating it, but I will try... Not on my finished kits of course !! Thank for the kind words Sincerely.
