DetailsMatter
Hi, I've only ever used concrete or cement fondu for casting outdoor pieces, can anyone recommend a material for smaller pieces that is more suitable for kids play areas? I've been using Axson f23 polyurethane from Tiranti's for indoor casts, it would be great if this was suitable as I have pots of the stuff! If not I've been thinking of using cassini's waterproof plaster. Any thoughts? Thanks, Sal
Alex Gordon
G'day Sal, Self Levelling Compound is good for detailed concrete casting, the working time is pretty reasonable for bubble removal and it is strong stuff being designed for putting a resilient surface on floors to a thickness of 2mm or so.It is quite expensive though,£28 for a 25 kg bag.
