jrlx
Great progress, Simon! Shame about the air scoop and the seats but you'll surely sort those out. Cheers Jaime
CedB
Those pins marks are a pain Simon, good work sorting them out I just grabbed my Mk III to check for the IP film and I see there's a decal for the instruments instead that goes behind the PE - easier than film I guess and saves all the painting / sticking with gloss stuff but harder to line up? I guess you need to paint the PE first too. Interesting...

If it goes tits up I still have the standard kit decal to fall back on. Simon.

Spookytooth
As I am no longer a PE virgin, I attack the dolly with it`s parts, all 2 of them. First bit cut a lightly curved (Well Bent anyhow.) With the other one too. Let those set now, and just a pair of braces to add plus the wheels. Still not sure on those seats though. All comments welcome. Simon.

Spookytooth
OK folks, time to clear up the matter of the title. Here is the book. And here is the Quote. I hope that this clears this matter up.. Simon.
Spookytooth
OK , now for some plastic bashing. Well hello dolly, just awaits primer. Next: Port holes and what to use to fix the blighters in with.? A P S test. The wing doors have 3 of the little things each so. Contacta Clear first (Starboard). Port side C/A. They now dry until tomorrow. That is it for now but hope to up date over the rest of the weekend. All comments welcome. Simon.

The Spadgent
Nice work on the clear parts. I have a love hate relationship with clear bits. I never seem st have a bump free ride. Looking forward to your results. John
Spookytooth
Thanks folks, the build progresses. Port holes again, I decided to use C/A to fix the clear bits in. And from the out side. There are 2 more to do on this side but I had an accident and have to clean them up first. Oh well the hazards of port holes . All comments welcome. Spookytooth
Well folks, bit the bullet and fitted the rest of them. Starboard side ready for priming inside. Port side still needs 2 more to be fitted. Once they are done I can leave that side to dry . Not much else to do in the way of prep work so it looks like the spray booth will be action when I get out of hospital. All comments welcome. Spookytooth
Thanks Giemme, they were a pain. OK, I made a boo boo. The bow decking needs some holes in ti I think.. The rudder bars fitted And I remembered to sort out those wing lights. I had punched some disc`s of plastic out earlier. I cut these in half and fixed in place with Revell Precision glue. I going to let that set overnight before cleaning up . All comments welcome. Simon.

TheBaron
There's a decent amount of detail in that kit Simon but damn are there a lot of port holes. This is coming together in a very fetching manner altogether.
Learstang
Nice work on your Sunderland, Simon! I've been doing a bit of building on mine (got the wings glued together!), but I've got so many irons in the fire right now it's hard to find time for it (I'm also working on about six or so Yak fighters simultaneously). Still, watching your build may be the impetus I need to do some more work on mine. I'll remember that trick on cleaning up the wing lights area. With regards to the port holes I'll go the Testors Clear Parts Cement route as I don't think my brittle nerves are up to glueing all those little clear parts in. Regards, Jason

Regards, Jason Cheers Jason, those port holes are OK once you have a good plan. Thanks for the comments folks, and good wishes, there are appreciated very much. That mishap air scoop, well I found the missing bit and was able to fix it into place. Let that set over night as well. That bow decking, Attacked it with a drill, 0.8 mm to be exact. A gentle rub with some micro mesh will finish that off. I am going to leave things for now and relax. All comments welcome. Simon.

Spookytooth
Thanks for the support folks. A little up date. Air scoops, 4 of them. All needing the back ends sorting. Especially that "Odd" one. A run round with some Vallejo putty. And those wing lights. Trimmed and filled. Will all to dry over night. All comments welcome. Simon.
