Timmas
I've been quietly watching this for a while Johnny and must say, it's lovely work. I particularly love the contrast between the exterior deep blue/black and the interior green. It's almost certainly just a trick of the light, but the lighter green almost makes the interior look softly illuminated
perdu
yup Still looking orright and Still looking fabulous As Timmas pointed out the interior really glows nice and bright with a wee bit of light on it

John Masters
Telford is a bit of a road trip for me...have fun for me while you're all there! Someday maybe I'll make it to the UK...and not just Gatwick or the other one...the big one, begins with an 'H'...Heathrow...that's it.
jrlx
Looks superb with the transparent parts on. Very well done I'm afraid I won't make to Telford this year. I've been extremely busy at work and I'll have a German test next Wednesday, so another reason to stay home in the weekend, studying. All this has prevented me for doing any progress on my Dornier for the last three or four weeks. Cheers Jaime

Nigel Heath
Very neat work on the canopy masking and attachment. In my experience Gator Grip can give remarkably strong joints. I used it to glue on the front canopy of my Sicamore with no issues whatsoever.
The Spadgent
Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Apologies for the lack of updates as I have been getting ready for an event I kind of help out with every year sround this time in Brum at the NEC. It always seems to suck up any extra time I have. But you don’t wanna know about that right! Let’s get back to the Cat of Blackness. No not that one! I’ll explain at the end of the post, so to calm you all down here are some final stages on sticks with some primer on. all that needs silver so I can chip later on. all done and a chipping fluid on. While I waited for that to dry I did the wheels. Black/ grey mix, Flory and a Tamiya weather wash. The wheel then got added. front. And rear, I then I had another engagement. The last of the years Rock Shows. what a great gig! And some other distractions. Apparently the other half now has an almighty girl crush on Alice’s lead guitarist. The original line up (Mr Buxton excluded) turned up to play a few songs to boot. As it happens the next post will be entitled, “Welcome to my nightmare” after the wheels had dried over night I tipped her over andddddd. what the what? I added so much weight. How can that be? I think I have a plan...... watch this space. Johnny. 9 2

One thing with the silver bombs Johnny, weren't most bomb casings iron or steel? I think most WW2 colour pics you see show them to be rusty rather than have shiny metal showing through chipped paint? Especially if they've been sitting in a bomb dump for a while... Keith 1

perdu
It don't matter how much you plan Not a jot Catalina models always sit on their a back ends I tried pinning mine to a base I tried gluing and pinning mine to a base And got nix As I'd built it with the cabin windows slid back I simply let the nozzle of a bottle of liquid gravity tip into the cockpit and gun turret When it is poured in at that angle you can then shake it out of sight Mine sits on its nosewheel now, just so, and I've been able to remove it from the little round stand so it can be packed away better
The Spadgent
It’s been a long day today but I did manage to get this together last night and tonight. “The Plan” get one of these. And squeeze. Glue that to some of this. Then cut along both edges to get a straight edge. Check for fit in the wheel well. It’s the only place I got left. not too unsightly with the doors on. painted washed and then stuck in place. I added the doors too. Aaaaaaaaaaand. we’re back on the road. appologies for an abridged version of events but I’m pooped and it’s another long day tomorrow sobbed beckons. Thanks for dropping by. Hopefully a bit more on Sunday. Take care chaps. Johnny Three wheels on ma wagon.
