Airfix Tribute Forum . . . back on air today

Recommended Posts

I know many of us are on more than one site and strangely enough I cant get onto the Airfix tribute forum.

The msg x 3 that appears states that

a) The forum link has been mistyped

B)B) I am trying to use my own domain name which isnt supported/registered

c)  the forum is not used enough so has been purged from the system.

Just wondered if anybody else is having any issues because One cannot contact anybody from the other side ????

Ian

The Airfix Tribute Forum has been going up and down all day. Our original hosts (MYFF) were taken over a few months ago by Tapatalk who are now mucking about with the forums. They appear to be migrating stuff over to new servers and so forum are suddenly becoming unavailable. We should get an email a week before things happen but we haven't.......

When (and if) we find out what the hell is going on, I (or Ratch) will let you all know.

BTW, can you change the title of the thread to "Airfix Tribute Forum Down" as it is a different forum to the Airfix one!

The ATF has reappeared after it's temporary absence and normal(?) service has been resumed. We still don't know why it happened!

Ah! The Airfix TRIBUTE Forum!

Well, that's not working for me right now. I just checked a moment ago and got this:

Your free forum airfixtributeforum.myfastforum.org does not appear to exist.

Reasons for this may be:

  • The forum link has been mistyped. Please check the address used.
  • You are using your own domain name, but support has not been requested to map the domain yet. Please email admin@myfreeforum.org the details.
  • No one has used the forum in a long time, or little or nothing was done to set up the forum after it was created, in which case it may have been purged from the system.

Please review our terms and conditions of service.

Yes You Can No You Can't
Create a forum, that promotes your business. Building a community, within which you will have links posted to your own and other web sites. Create a forum with no intention of building a community, simply to fill it with link spam to your own or other web sites
Post links to media available on youtube.com or other legitimate services where media is publically available and policed for copyright and other violations by those services. Promote warez.
Post links to copyright material on file sharing or other services that are not regarded as reputable public operations that take full responsibility for material on their servers.
You can be "attacked" by guests or members posting material that contravenes our terms and condtions. But you must delete such posts in a timely manner and deal with any member deemed responsible. Ignore your responsiblity to keep your forum operating within the terms and conditions.
Discuss controversial political issues. Run a "hate" site. Racism, Homophobia, Religious hate, will not be tolerated. We include "self hate" in this definition. Which means for example whilst a site that believes in the legalisation of recreational drugs would be tolerated for the sake of free speech, a site that encourages anorexia which is self harm and therefore self hatred would not be allowed.
Discuss adult issues. Run a pornographic site.
Occasionally mass email your members. You may not spam members with frequent emails, or otherwise promote your forum via mass spam emailing, or any other form of spamming.
Run coupon swapping schemes, promote business ideas and franchises. You may not run anything resembling a pyramid scheme, timeshare scam etc. If money is changing hands, the ethics must be convincing!
Discuss addons for online computer games. Run a site where the aim is not to improve everyones enjoyment of the game, but to cheat and thus ruin the game for legitimate players. e.g. an add on that provides a short cut key to get to a weapon would almost certainly be okay, a "speed hack" is simply lame cheating and is not okay.
Freely advertise other sites.  Accept paid advertising without the approval of ourselves, as paid advertising is likely to conflict with the advertising that supports the forum.

If our terms and conditions are broken, we reserve the right to remove/suspend forums without warning or discussion. But we will only do this if we believe reasonable discussion would be pointless.

As forum owner you have full legal responsibily for the content of your forum. We are simply acting as host.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions.

You can find our support forum here.

I was getting access up to Friday morning, when lots of you were not. I have left messages with our hosts, who appear to be changing servers. Unfortunately, they have not let me know when this would occur or how long it will cause disruption. Please bear with us, we will be trying to restore normal service as soon as possible.
