Brad
I was watching Battle of Britain the other day and this question popped into my head. Personally, I can think of only 1, Theo Osterkamp who scored 32 kills in WW1 and 6 in WW2, but there must be at least a couple more, surely? Jure Miljevic
Hello, Brad The same question, another forum almost two decades ago: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6555 To add my penny's worth, Ira Jones flew Hawker Henley target tug during his flare attack on Ju 88 over Swansea bay. He did not score in WWII, though. Cheers Jure
Smithy
Harry von Bülow-Bothkamp was another and perhaps the only other one. There were several LW pilots who scored under 5 victories in WWI and then attained acedom in WWII or who were aces in WWI and then scored a few victories in WWII. There's none from the RFC/RNAS who did so although Stanley Vincent shot down aircraft in both wars with firstly the RFC and then the RAF during WWII. I've also heard it suggested that 56 Sqn, RFC ace William Fielding-Johnson achieved a kill as an air gunner on his last sortie before his bomber was shot down but I don't think it has ever been confirmed.
