Hi all! We do not see this graceful torpedo/bomber on forums, and yet, the Hasegawa model is very good! The Eduard photo etch is OK but a bit old. I have used a squadron clear canopy to show the all open option. All markings are done with the Silhouette so no decals here. This plane was assigned to the 653 kokutai on board the IJN" Zuikaku" before the Battle of the Philippines sea. Mr Color lacquers used there, planes had no time to get old and weary, they had a very short life indeed!

The only (yes, the only) criticism I have is that you didn't go all the way and displayed the bottom fuselage machine gun nest. That way it'd be even more eye catching.

Hello Josip. I disregarded this option as no pic ever shows this while on the ground, and also because it breaks too much the lines of the aircraft.

Very nice Tenzan  ... just out of curiosity as im not super familiar with Japanese markings. Whats the white symbol inside the Hinomaru ?

This is a Kanji character showing the name of the pilot, usually draw with chock during the training periods.

A longtime fan of IJN torpedo bombers myself... What an excellent build of an excellent plane!

I can only agree! And one can see the lines of the C6N1"Saiun" emerging from those of the "Tenzan"
