Hello, for anyone interested in the Burgess Dunne floatplane, @steelpillow posted these links three or four years ago

The "Dunne Biplane" at this time was the D.8, the one that Burgess licensed.

They are ideal for anyone interested in the Scaleplanes vacform, or like Martian Hale threatened back in the day, scratch-building!

Hi guys

 

Here are the pictures from my recent trip to Canada. We were lucky enough to fly the Vancouver city tour on a DHC-2 Beaver and a Glacier tour from Whistler on a DHC-3 Turbo Otter. Both great experiences.

@snapper_city Arctic Decals do a set for the HA Turbo Otter - perhaps we can impress upon them the urgent need for a Twin Otter set too. I know that I quite like the scheme and photographed it when I was in Vancouver a decade ago (that long? Wow...)

Yeah I saw these decals but next question is where do you find a turbo Otter other than a conversation upgrade?

I built and showed here my Harbour Air Turbo Otter. The Hobbycraft kit is needed with several mods and the resin turbo nose which is included with the Arctic set. The Arctic decals are for the yellow stripes scheme.

 

Mark, I spent several hours at Cold Harbour Vancouver last September and could have taken root there  just watching the Beavers and Otter all day. I went up in C-FWAC for a 3/4 hour trip|!!

 

With your Whistler pics there is the seaplane in red trim. What is it? I saw it from a distance the other side of the lake last year.

I will take a look into the Arctic set. I see Hobbycraft released a beaver in their old scheme nearly 20 years ago. I'll try pick one of those up if I get the chance.

Cheers Mark. Much appreciated.  I thought it looked a bit 'Stinson-ish'

 I know for sure they did the Beaver in 1/48th in the yellow HA colours as I have built that one.
