falcon
I decided to have a pop at building a biplane, as I had never built one before. For some reason I ended up with 4 Gloster Gladiators in the stash thanks to last years Home Bargains Airfix deals. I had also never done any rigging before and this was a perfect kit for giving it a go as the Airfix instructions include a rigging diagram and the parts have indentations for the 'wires'. I chose to drill these out and use fishing line for the wires, superglued in place and trimmed back with a sharp scalpel. I also chose to give the Hataka acrylic silver a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I got round to finishing it this morning and decided to do it as the one from the Shuttleworth Collection in the markings of 73 Sqn, Hendon Air Pageant 1937. 21
Tbolt
Very nice. Great work on the rigging. I've never rigged a bi-plane either and end up in cold sweat just adding a single aerial wire to model Edited August 27, 2017 by Tbolt

pizzapaolo
Nice rigging, I've got one of these on the stash but somewhat intimidated by the rigging. Tried EZ line on an ICM I-153 recently but I might go with fishing line next time
FatFlyHalf
I just tried to build one of these nice little kits in an early BoB finish. And I chickened out on the rigging, so it looks naked, and no where near your standard of finish. Bravo. Michael51
A beautiful model, and that rigging is not only spectacular, it's way beyond my skills. Michael
