Zigomar
Hi Sailors! This is the mighty "Chokai" at the terrible battle of Savo on the night of the 8th of August 42. Enjoy. 73north
I am very , very impressed - I also recognise your name from other Models you have posted on the internet - eg Hyperscale you are a superb modeller - well done here ! I assume you used a super-detail set , for the Aoshima Kit , which one was it , or did you use various etch sets and cobbled it together - I like the after-market brass main guns ( really make a big impact on a Model , compared to the plastic kit ones ) I am going to buy the Trumpeter HMS Repulse 1/350 myself soon ( saving up for the kit and super-detail etch sets ! ) kind regards David
Zigomar
Hello David. In fact I did use the GMM set for the Takao, plus some left over from various origin as there is no specific set, at least to my knowledge, for the Chokai. The Chokai was one of the four cruiser class which never was refond and kept single 120mm AA instead of the double ones. Takao, Atago, Maya and Chokai were similar but had many differences, so a good Doc is required!Best Regards.
