modelling minion
Excellent work so far, especially with the PE on the turret. I look forward to seeing how you achieve the weathering. Craig.
Redcoat2966
Hello Carius. I have to agree with the rest of the members, nice clean build and PE work. In light of this example I’ve decided my next build in the form of a Matilda..........after the Wespe. I haven’t built an Allied AFV since I was in my teens; Tamiya’s Cromwell. Again, cracking piece, look forward to seeing the paint job. regards Simon

Carius
I truly wanted to do something different from CS on the camouflage for this vehicle. So the scheme is basically matt dark green HU30 base. Once dry I started airbrush light stone nº 61 on the surface with a little weathering effect too...
Gremlin56
Like it Cesar, a non-regular Matilda finish on a Matilda. The dust spray of light stone over the green gives a very nice effect

Carius
Weathering - First fase only: There is two kinds of scratches, those that go right through to show the steel surface, and those that reveal just the first layer of paint or primer. To make the second effect I used "absolut chipping" from MIG products, with excellent results IMHO, that reveal the HU30 color. I I gave it different nuances with subtle washes with humbrol HU225 (matt middle stone) and HU147 (matt light gray). And the model begins to get a new life, a new look... That´s all for now...
BlackMax12
Looks pretty good Carius. If this is a desert version and I think it is, then those winds and gritty sandstorms sure do a number on the paint job. Maybe the crew wear hob-nailed boots but whatever it was I sure like the effect of the green peeking through the stone and the different tones of topcoat look great. They sure were a butt ugly looking tank but you've dressed it up really nice. Lloyd
