Well I think it was worth the extra effort and sums up what this hobby is about, great expectation, a change of plan, support, advice, despair then delight to see the model finished.

A grand job.

Thanks Head in the Clouds - you're right, although I'd prefer an easy build! :)

Congratulations on a splendid 'retirement' build there Ced.

A pleasure as always watching this come together.

With your output I hope that the retirement plan includes provision for ceiling-strengthening?:D

Thanks Tony :) I'm hoping the ceiling will cope... repairing it isn't on my list!

All them excuses as to why it took so long 😂

Lovely finish Ced, hope you're enjoying retirement? Should we expect to see the build rate go up now you're business is sold?

cheers

neil

Thanks Neil - my build rate will probably go down, sadly. I used to model in the office but now I'm not tied to my desk/'phone I'll be able to roam a bit more :)

:clap2:Just had a cup of coffee reading your wip. Excellent. I was a bit puzzled when you said it wasn't good enough for an RFI appearance. Glad you changed your mind.

Thanks Vinnie - glad you like it :)

This is a great model

You beat the monster that is resin bitsas

You defeated the evil that is transferdecalmania.

And gave us a fine and sociable modeling session to join in and indulge ourselves

Thanks Ced

Lovely RFI set too, the first one is blooming lovely

Thanks Bill, especially for al your help :)

Cheers

Thanks Tony - I know you'll make a better job of it than me but at least you've seen how the AM bits fit :)

It's good to see this in RFI Ced :)

I agree with everyone above; you've made a very nice model here.

The Z nose, crew, wheels up, radiator and propellor changes, those fascinating exhausts and more make it a very individual and genuinely interesting model. I would go as far to say that the painted shark's mouth looks more authentic than the transfers.

The WIP will be a useful resource for others wanting to get the best out of this kit.

:goodjob:

TonyT

Thanks TT - kind of you. Shark mouths always seem to give me trouble :)

30 WIP pages, 11 weeks and a face on it that looks like a Plymouth local with her best make up on. Honestly, Ced what were you thinking? ;)

Worth the wait to see something different, even facially to a certain degree.:D

Thanks Darbs - Plymouth local, more like Portsmouth! :D

Bravo! Absolutely top notch Halifax. You've done a cracking job there Ced. ;)

I've been toying with the idea of getting one myself after seeing Phil Flory's video build, but think I may opt for the Mk III version as I can't be bothered to tackle those very noticeable engine problems.

Entertaining WIP too.

Thanks Ian - my longest WiP to date, although it's not all modelling of course :)

That is a beaut job CED, one of the nicer Revell Halibags I've seen. I kind of lost track of your build, sorry, life you know. :( but knew anyway there'd be a treat at the end with lots of photos & I was right. :) Lots of photos & a really big treat. Magic.

Steve.

A terrific build with a great paint finish.  Good to see one crewed out too.  Personally I think the addition of the 'Z' nose made for a much more efficient looking aircraft compared to the early turreted versions.  I have the Revell B.III in the stash so I was interested to read your comments on the build.  Happy retirement btw.  Hopefully we'll see more of your work as a result.

Thanks Meatbox - kind of you :)

I like crew as my builds go on the ceiling and someone has to fly them :mental:
