Recommended Posts

Just thought I would share some photos from the East Kirkby Air Show. I do enjoy these smaller shows.

Weather prevents a number of aircraft from attending but is was still an enjoyable day.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

The BBMF opened the show.

I've seen the Blenheim display before, but thought this was one of the better ones. It inspired me to Buy Airfix's MkI from the Blenheim Society stall.

Mosquito HJ711 has just arrived at East Kirby and is currently awaiting re-assembly. I believe the aim is to restore her to engine running & taxiable condition.

Fabulous stuff. The Lancaster and a Spitfire overflew Lincoln today.

We went to East Kirkby some years ago and had a great day.

Good news about the Mosquito too. If only we lived closer.

I must get over there sometime soon!

Great day out with lots to see if you haven't been before.

As much as I admire the restoration on the Lancaster I personally wish they would paint another motif on the nose to represent an actual aircraft that flew out of EK.
