If CC is bringing that chilli then someone should put some toilet rolls in the fridge/freezer.

We all saw what happened to Percy....

Simon.

OK, I'll bring a good vindaloos along instead and some bags of ice to sit on afterwards. :jump_fire:

Flippin' 'eck, page two already! Welcome everyone :)

Is this going to work? Brushed with very thin 'Oak' and the plan is to dry brush with H29:

then my favourite Iron for the bands.

Not me this year I'm afraid Ced. Was all set to go (club has a stand there again) but this week had to fork out £600 for a clutch change on the Grand Vitara (I think the Grand bit relates to the size of the bills...) and the same day the extortion demand arrived from the insurance company for the thing - another paltry £320...!!

So I'm having to give temptation a wide berth...:(

K

PS also meant to say the barrels are looking great!

One more thing, Martian, what is in the vindaloo, as we have not seen that goat since John`s place bash?

I don't like the barrels Ced, the staves should be black on the edges, and dirty oak dry brushed after

The wood how ever already looks very nice*

;)

oh yes, by the way

I'm back here keeping Tomo's place for him

In case you wonder, I was a part-time cellar man at my Working Man's Club for four years to earn a bob or two (and drink a pint or two)

I've seen barrels

Guessed that was a render

Anyway, unlike the rest of the world I'll keep schtumm now

I have had enough Spitfires for a bit so I'm the silent onlooker now

;)

* the barrels look too toylike to me, which is why *^^^

Morning Ced, you know I'm always casting paternal eyes around.

I woke sort of regretting being so harsh but it just couldn't lie, the barrel whether for beer or minor beverages, is one of the finest examples of wood carving humans ever developed.

There ain't no joints on a barrel that you could slip even a five thou feelergauge into and there certainly are not lines that look like cement or glue.

The barrels somebody gave you with the kit look more like Playmobil toys than proper scale modelling barrels because what joins do remain are usually blackish on barrels.

Sounding more grumpy than usual but I don't like you having to work with bad stuff.

However, it does mean you will bring us a sublime model at the end.

There m'lud is the case for the proper barrel, many photographs can be shown in evidence even though the relevant barrels are probably languishing on a French bonfeu.

OK Martian, but we will need a shed load of Naan breads + some poppadoms and pickles.

Not forgetting the Sagg Bhaji`s etc.

And a case of Cobra too.

Simon.

Spicy onions as well please!

Can I be awkward and say I prefer a Chinese takeaway?

Prawn toast and chicken with sweetcorn soup to start (and a side of ribs) and followed by beef in black bean sauce and fried rice.

Prawn crackers and Beansprouts as well.

Could add on Crispy Duck and Pancakes, not forgetting Pancake Rolls.

Dead right, there's too much reliance on supposed favourite foods in literature and modelling builds

I cannot stomach curry in any flavour due to an intolerance to one of its component parts, but I love almost any Chinese or TexMex spicy stuff

So I would like a spicy Schechuan beef with ginger and chilli

Might as well have Sweet and Sour Chicken balls on the list then as well.

Bugger it, and a House Special Chow Mein and Fried rice too.
