corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I'm a newcomer in this section of BM, Aircraft are my main point of interest But sometimes, I came modelling lower and lower, I mean vehicles ! I made a swap with a fellow modeller and received this one My friend bought this for using some parts, So I knew well that had to buy tracks As I wanted to depict it in the battle of the bulge period, It was a good time to try the duck billed tracks I feel always disapointed when I see some AFV in convention, well painted, well weathered but .... empty ! So I bought this one And used some parts of this one And scratchbuilded some other parts. I know this is no longer a real work in progress topic since here's where I stand today
corsaircorp
A look in the interior now Obviously, I will not let the beast without some friends, here they are, and where I stand today Ok Gents, let me know what do you think about my Sherman and figures There is a lot of thing that I have to learn in the field of AFV modelling, and moreover with the figures Have a very nice modelling day Sincerely. FrancisGL
It is a magnificent project, you are absolutely right, the AFV are usually empty, but on the other hand, there are magnificent models, even OOB, with complete interiors, but once finished, they barely see anything inside. Maybe that's the main reason (and the price ... lol). These add-ons you've bought seem really nice, and expensive ...(89€ ...lol) With the planes happens a little the same, a quantity of huge work in the cockpits, but once finished, it's really hard to see the result ... a shame. What you've done has now looks great. Watching with interest... Cheers Corsaircorp Edited August 11, 2017 by FrancisGL
BruceG
Very nice. I keep hoping for a newly tooled Sherman with interior, rather than the deluge of late war German tanks we are currently enjoying. 1
Kris B
Very interesting project. How the interior for Tasca fits into the Dragon?

Hello Kris, Sincerely the fit is good, a bit of sanding here and there but quite easily. I experienced more fitting problems with my Academy Tiger interior that is trying to get in an AFV one ! But I will finish the Sherman before restarting myTigers At least, I will try ! Thank for the kind words Sincerely CC

A complete Luftwaffe '46 set... I suppose that if they did so, they used to sell it ! A good Priest, that will be welcome for an exemple ! Or a good Crusader or cromwell (I beg you pardon my irish friends) That's all marketing stuff ! IMHO Sincerely CC

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I cannot finish my Sherman in 2017, but I must "You Stupid CC !! How the hell did you miss it !!!" I was finishing the hatches when I noticed the ejection pins Well doing, doing again and re-doing is still working is'nt it ?? Here's the beast with its last coat of paint Then we must make this thing a little more living ! I used these tracks with Duck Bills I really enjoyed it, easy and look the job !! My main source of inspiration came from this really good book And the Abrams figure MUST look like this !! Another challenge for sure !! More to come soon. I wish you all a wonderfull 2018 year ! Joy, kits, health, models, happiness and money ( lot of... for kits... ) Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
hello Dears ! one on my last post here for 2017 ! Just to show the main assembly of the Sherman And now finishing the tiny parts and go for the weathering !! Weathering must be light since I represent this tank at the Kirchberg Highground in Luxembourg January 1945 ! Abrams has just received this tank since 2 or 3 days, so it was brand new at the time ! The box art is therefore wrongly called "Battle of the bulge" with this particular machine ! More to come soon... Next year ! sincerely. Now it's a great relief, luckily, I used to take some notes when I'm doing my kits ! Thank for the reminder ! sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Here we go again ! I tried for the first time the method of the Chromatic filter hope that it is the same name in english Whatever it's this method And God ! that's good ! look ! same colour but with a lot of intensity !! I'm baffled ! Will try it on some Aircraft too ! It's a little bit long or time consumer but to me it's Worth the time ! Sure that anyone of you knew it but it's a first for me ! On my way to Remagen ! Oooops sorry, to RFI ! Have a nice modelling time ! Sincerely. CC
Soeren
Interesting, what would happen if you mix the used colors before the application? What tone would that achieve? Maybe you can take a picture with lighting similar to the first one, to be able to better see the result.
