Yep, very pleased to see this scheme in the GB.

 

Check out Mountain Goat's thread on his F1C build to get an understanding about the nose length although if you're still confused, ask here.

What are you doing about the step if you cut out 1mm there?

It is a cone after all :puzzled:

First, I will look at the unused part with fuel probe how big is the step after the cut - it's 1 mm in length but less on diameter.
Next I will try to shape a cone using putty/CA and file  :happy:.

 

If the step after one cut will be too large, I... hmmmm...
