Popular Post Massimo
Hi guys, during my visits to the UK , I often have the chance, after work, to pop up to RAF Lakenheath to watch some landings and takeoffs.I really like the two shades of grey camouflage of the C version Eagles. The F-15 was never one of my favourite subjects, but when I saw the release of the Decal set by Caracal dedicated to the Eagles based at Lakenheath on Hannants website, I c I bought it straight away! It was a unique opportunity to build a subject I was so familiar with. Here below a few pictures taken at the Heath As I wanted to recreate the atmosphere I lived many times at Lakenheath, I decided to represent a landing aircraft. The model I used was the Academy F-15C/D ,with the addition of some Edward PE parts amd the Caracal Models decals. Here are some pictures of my Eagle.Hope you like it. Any positive or negative comments are welcomed! Thanks Massimo 80
Alpha Delta 210
Very nice Eagle with a real feeling of movement. Well done. I think I have some close-up images of that very machine from inside the wire.

Valkyrie
Perfect. I love the landing pose and the runway effect really adds to it. Good stuff
sonofjim
Love it . The weathering is tasteful and subtle but very noticeable. And I also like the speed effect on the runway .

Maverick231
That is an exquisite example of an aircraft I am very familiar with due to my many trips to LN! Fantastic job mate! You've really done a good job of recreating the atmosphere of a visit to RAF Lakenheath!

Lightningboy2000
Massimo, you have captured that two tone grey perfectly. I can hear that shriek they make when landing, very nice especially looking at them landing towards the sunset I've seen 196 so many times now so I am familiar with it. https://flic.kr/s/aHsjYL6TLY

I'm sory the pictures aren't so good, but my camera is an old compact one and , while it has made a lot of good shots outside, it doesn't really work well indoor.Nothingto compare with a reflex, but it's good for travelling and we're mates, so I'll keep it. It's nice to find somebody like Maverick and Lightningboy, who shares with me the love for spotting too and is familiaar with RAF Lakenheath , as I think they caan fully get the atmosphere I wanted to represent with this model! We may even have met, as I often see thesame faces , when I get there! Hope we'll meet in the future! Thank you all again! Edited July 30, 2017 by massimo2

Lightningboy2000
I reckon your first port of call would be the public affairs office of the 48th FW, they have a contact section on their website. You never know! Martin
