Hasegawa jaguar xjr9 imsa

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and girls.

Some of you may have seen my build thread of the 1991 jag xjr12 build and how in that I used a shell from one of these kits to help with it. Well I still have most of the other bits made up from the first kit so I will be remaking just the top half mainly and maybe changing a few things to the already completed parts.

The box.

And where I am at with the body. In my first attempt at making this car I cut off the wheel covers but pretty quick came to regret that decision so this time they are staying on.

The rear.

And the few bits from kit number 1.

The wheels are pretty much done

The floor pan is done just needs the dust blowing off.

And finally it wouldn't be a build thread by me without the obligatory mock up.

Hopefully as there is actually very little to do to this car I can knock this one out quite quickly. The only issue I may have are the decals as from attempt 1 I remember them being a right pita as they were thin and broke very very easily so I may have to seal them with a layer of decal film before I do them.

More soon

Nice: but don't knock it out quickly - chuck loads of PE and aftermarket at it and enjoy the experience!!

I would but there isn't that much out there for the hasegawa car and the s27 xjr9 etch is more suited to the tamiya car so a lot would be wasted if I got that. Plus every now and again it's nice to have a simple build with just paint and decals to worry about.
