Calling all Venom & Vampire experts

1. There is a 'something' on top of the fuselage behind the pilot's seat. What is it? There is a diagram in David Watkins book about the Vampire that makes it look like an oversized fuel can with a filler spout. What colour was it?

2. How many guns did the prototype Venom have? I think that was four - like the FB5 Vampire fuselage that it started with.

3. Are there any clear diagrams or photos showing how the canopy rails fit to the fuselage around the rear portion of the canopy?

4. What colour was the upright at the rear of the pilot's seat? Was the rear fuselage under the rear part of the canopy silver?

Thanks Steve. Regarding the rails there is a Venom only a few miles away from me at Gatwick but it is undergoing refurbishment and the cockpit area is covered by a tarpaulin.
