SAU
My build will be a Mirage 2000N armed with an ASMP cruise missile. Heller kit originally from late 70's and the 2-seater version came out 1991. This one will perfectly fit in my Escadrille La Fayette / Indian squadron collection I'll be using the kit decals together with the Carpena/Colorado decal sheet
SAU
Part started, just some paint in the cockpit I've got myself some extra work too, my ethyl acetate that I use as glue almost went through the wing... ...well it didn't hit too many panel lines and there are also some sink marks so I can't complain that much
Graeme H
Glad to see this one although I personally had a terrible time with the way Heller did the intakes, and strakes, hope you do better, sorry about the plastic reacting to your glue that way, looks messy, I would be very careful about using any fillers that might react with the already affected plastic. Wez
SAU, welcome to the GB, very glad to see another Mirage 2000. Shame about the glue reacting the way that it has but hopefully you'll be able to recover the situation. Good luck with the rest of the build. PaulT 876
Hi Nice one, I have done 321 from La Fayette in 48th, they got the dates wrong for 321 in the paint guide they were 6 month out it was one of the 1st 2000n's to crash ie 6 months before the date they say. Keep going will look nice when done. Paul
SAU
Thanks all. Compared the Heller with an Italeri kit before assembly. Only minor differencies, the Italeri fuselage (bottom) is 2 mm shorter and the delta wing (Italeri right) is angled a few degrees more. Not so fun fact, the Heller kit has a wing with raised panel lines (from the Mirage 2000C kit dated 1978ish) and when the did the two-seater 1991 the fuselage got recessed panel lines. Maybe time for rescribing when I try to sort out the sinkmarks
SAU
Fuselage done, ejection seats to come later. Haven't decided wether it'll be those provided in the kit or aftermarket --- The intake puzzle On 22/07/2017 at 00:59, Graeme H said: ...although I personally had a terrible time with the way Heller did the intakes, and strakes, hope you do better... and you're quite right there, what an odd construction
exdraken
Looks nice! At least that way the stakes are at a defined angle!
