razzie43
Let me introduce you the Heuschrecke IV b The real name was "105mm leichte Feldhaubitze 18/1 L/28 Auf waffenträger geschutzwagen IV b" design by KRUPP in Magdeburg Chassis is from "Panzerkamfwagen IV" and the "Hummel" Almost the same as sdkfz 165/1 Sonderkraftfahrzeug. The Heuschrecke starts in 1943 and has 3 prototypes serienr 582501-582503 Engine : Maybach 12V HL "90" and for production it was "100". One of those 3 has survive the WWII and is full restored in the museum of Oklahoma. The turret in action : The box is from trumpeter in scale 1/35 672 parts in grey plastic, and photo-etch; length of metal cable I start with the rear panel of the tank in Tamiya putty To give the tank a older look. The problem is it never fits like you want it,so i decide to make it moveable with a iron pin inside.

razzie43
Yes Clive ,same here...specialy tanks of the germans category. After hard work on the model with all kind of colours i found in my closet. i became this heavy weathered model. First i don't want to go so far with the weathering...but then i look again and again and before you known it's to late... Now i need some advice of you all here...stowage tools behind on or off? or between it ?? Razzie on the bench
clive_t
Nice work with the weathering! I searched for some photos of the real thing and found several where the majority of the tools were stowed on the rear, also some to the side. I don't know if that helps? Kris B
Nice painting job. I am wondering what was an idea of removing the turret of the vehicle to fire? Gun to strong when firing, chassis not capable to cope with it?
Gremlin56
I was wondering why the Germans went to all that trouble too Chris, seems amazingly over complicated. Wonderful job on an unusual subject though Razzie, looks like it has been on the road for a while and seen some hard times, nice
FrancisGL
I did not know this vehicle (rather than he was capable), I thought it was another Paperpanzer ...A very worn / rusty look, which is super successful ... cheers Razzie

FrancisGL
A great weathering job, it looks very authentic, really like a very rusty vehicle. I would like to see when it is finished, the turret "up and down" ... Cheers mate
clive_t
Wow! That's a stunning piece of work right there, Razzie. That is one crazy real rust look on those lifting arms! Thanks for showing this very unusual subject, really brilliantly done
