SimonL
My next project is the Airfix 1:48 Bedford MWD. I intend to do the RAF vehicle. The main colour is no problem - I was going to use the Mike Starmer Tamiya mix for SCC2. However I am a little lost as to what to do for the canvas parts, which are listed in the instructions as Humbrol Matt Khaki Drill. I've ad somewhere that one possibility is XF78 Wooden Deck Tan - which does look a bit light to me (although I guess washes would darken it a fair bit). Is there anyone out there who has any advice? I use Tamiya or Italeri acrylics. Many thanks.
Antoine
Hi Simon, there's a "sail" colour on Gunze's range, H85.

Gorby
I don't know the definitive answer, but from my home-made colour chart XF-55 (Deck Tan) looks the closest – to me at least.
stevehnz
Gorby is refering to this thread, imho, a superb colour resource. I'm not sure quite what you want in a canvas colour Simon, it will range from an unbleached calico shade through white to quite dark dyed &/or painted canvas but these colours at least will give a real life idea of the shades Tamiya has.
