shood23
So it's finished. Finally after what feels like a long time due to work and family commitments getting in the way of my modelling time recently. The fujimi base kit us ok but there are some huge mistakes that anyone who wants a correct looking car will want to change, luckily they are quite easy to do. The first big change i made was to the rims, the kit ones are bad they are not the correct style or size so I subbed them for a set of bbs lms that come with tamiyas Porsche 911 gt2. Secondly the secondary lights are missing, I made these from a couple of 1/72 plane missile ends and some spare lenses for the spares box. Third issue is the decals, they are over sized in some areas but then under sized in others and in some cases some sponsors aren't there at all. Paints used were zero paints for the main colours and tamiya pot paint for the smaller areas either brushed on or airbrushed. The red for the bumpers and side areas is a custom mixed from zero paints by me. And being me I wanted to dirty it up, so here it is fully finished Thanks for looking. keefr22
Nice build Shaun, really cool weathering ! But I think I prefer the pre-race beauty shots! Keith
shood23
Thanks for the comments guys. And Keith looking back at it now I kind of wish that I had kept it clean, but I can categorically say I will never build this kit again given how much time it took to do various bits of conversion.
