1/48 Hobby Boss Su-27 Flanker-B

Recommended Posts

Here's my rendition of the Hobby Boss Flanker kit. Built generally OOB except for the seat which came from Wolfpack-Designs. Painted with Gunze lacquers and weathered with enamels and oils. Decals from Begemot.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Brilliant! Absolutely stunning Flanker.

Dear MadCat, could you share more details on the paints (shades/codes/numbers) used?

The 3 colours used for the camouflage were all custom mixed Gunze Mr Color paints. I cannot recall the exact paints and ratios used but I do recall starting with 117 RLM78 Light Blue for the lighter blue, 74 Air Superiority Blue for the darker blue and 334 Barley Grey BS4800/18B21 for the light grey. These were mixed with whites, blues and greens to get the approximate shade when referenced to photographs found on the Internet. Hope this helps!
