Zigomar
I believe, since my childhood that IJN carriers are fascinating. And since that very childhood I dreamed of a decent model for one of those mighty ships. Of course I did get my hands on some 1/700 models, which were a giant step in the right direction, but still really frustrating because of the small scale! (please note that I'm in awe at what some people do in that scale, no kidding)! Then came the beautiful Akagi from Hasegawa, but still, to me, the quintessence was the Shokaku/Zuikaku class, so when Fujimi did put those models on the market, I had to do one. Well friends this is the final result after a lot of work and I hold at your disposal a step by step workshop! I have used the whole Fujimi Photo etch sets, veteran 25mm,Rainbow photo etch for the planes, wooden deck and so on. This ship was given to a very good friend of mine who has written a giant book on the IJN, my old buddy Michel Ledet! Now some pics of the model! Bitzer
Fantastic job on her! Like you, I've always wanted an IJN carrier but can swing the price at the moment. When I get on I hope it comes out as well as yours.

Orion
Hello Zigomar, Excellent build, and excellent photography. Interesting subject. I looked at your photo stream. Interesting build up, in comparison with the US system out of that time. Thanks for sharing this beautiful model with us. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
