Joeltc Posted July 10, 2017 Share Posted July 10, 2017 G'day everyone. I have been a member of Britmodeller for a few years now but haven't tried to post anything yet. This Is my latest completed build Eduards gorgeous 1/48 Mig-21 SMT. The only aftermarket added was the Quackboost air scooops and I also scratch built the rubber seal around the cockpit sills from Tamiya pinstripe masks. The majority of the painting was done with a mixture of Akan and Mr Hobby acrylics. The weathering was done with a Prismacolor pencil to simulate some paint chipping and the rest was done with artists acrylics. 26 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jckspratt1 Posted July 12, 2017 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Nice work mate. As redcap noted, the entire Ed MiG-21 series are great kits - gotta love the placement of the main fuse joins on 'em. Can't say I'd be happy about the state of the runway, were I the pilot - those five parallel grooves and the long drop would be a bit of a bugger!
