Kris B
Welcome lads. Usually I build the AFV models, but first time I decided to try to build a ship model. Looking for first 'victim' I found the Trumpeter's Dreadnought. I love it from first sight and bought it straight away. Also get some stuff to make it looks better - let say to try to make it looks better... I've started from the hull, it looks like trying to join two bananas. \ used lots of rubber bands and two clamps to hold it together. For now it is only dry fit and I will keep it like this for few days, maybe plastic change a shape a little bit and make me able to glue it together.
Gremlin56
Nice model and nice aftermarket add-ons Chris. Try carefully zapping it with a hairdryer while its all clamped and taped, just don't go crazy (I did and melted all the forward wind brakes on the 1/200 Trumpie Hornet)
Bugle07
Great choice for your first ship. Popcorn and beer at the ready for this! Watching with interest to see how the aftermarket bits improve her. Geoff

Kris B
Hi, thanks for visit and sorry for delay. But as this is new stuff for me I have to think twice before I will do something. Ok, the banana hull has been joined together. Not perfectly and need some filling and sanding, but not a major issue. The upper deck is slightly to short if is fitted in the right position... ... but I think it have to be like that, as in the other way it away of position on the back, and it make it worse to sort out ... and after fit the deck it dosn't looks so bad. Dry fit of the decks. Unlucky the main deck has to be trimmed, as it goes under the upper part and cannot be fit in this way later.
