tiking
Hi all. I have been working on a 1/35 diorama lately but found the time to do a quick 1/24 diorama while taking a break from my present 1/35 diorama. This one is not all that. I'm not really a car guy but I had these kits on hand because I had planned to use them in a truck diorama. But, something else came up and I just decided to make a separate diorama for them instead. The diorama depicts a pedestrian crossing with two automobiles and a Lady, with a dog, crossing the street. The story tells a tale of a very impatient driver in the van trying to tell the driver in front of him;who is checking out the lady with the dog, crossing the road, to drive on; and if you look closely in one of the pictures, you will see a sign warning pedestrian to update Facebook, before crossing the street. The diorama is pretty simple. I just wanted to have a display base, that' pretty much it. Hope you guys like the results: Edited July 8, 2017 by tiking
Gorby
Very nice job and very unusual - it made me smile. I like models and dio's with a touch of humour.

HansReggelsen
Your dio has all the elements that a good dio IMHO should have: A story Well planned layout Well made models Stuff to make you look twice...or trice! Well done indeed! Cheers Hans J
John_W
As a dog owner, I must point out that the lady should have a little bag of dog poo hanging from her free hand to be totaly accurate. ;o)
Badder
Another fantastic diorama Tiking! The dog poo bag comment above is a good one. I like the wood 'railway sleeper' base as well.... as usual your choice of materials really does stand out and add that extra something to a diorama. JayDee
What an inspirational display. I won't repeat all the good comments of others but I find the standard of painting to be something I could only aspire to. Apart from the figures (which you just cannot get to look real) This could be a snap of a full sized van and car and your attention to detail concerning the newspaper in the van windscreen and the liner in the bin shows a great sense of detail and creativity. My only comment would be that the American signs with what look like European vehicles seem a little incongruous but a very small criticism for what is a great example of workmanship. tiking
Thank you JayDee. Appreciate your comment. As for the sign, it is not uncommon for signs to exist in other languages than the local language. In fact, I got the idea form a pic off the internet that had this sign in a country, in Poland, if I remember correctly. Usually it's better ti leave these types of funny statements as is. The newspaper in the window, is being read by a second person in the van.
