Dads203
Afternoon all,  Not much bench time today I'm afraid, but I've been looking at the main rotor hub and blades, they still need painting and detailing yet so hopefully in the net few days I can get these boxed off.  The Ace of clubs on the underside is a real bummer but I don't have the decal to do that at this point in time so I'll have to leave it. I'm sure at some point ZA166 flew without it, I could be wrong (often am as I'm told by those who know me ) I do think that I've captured the essence of the mighty 771 Sqn Sea King quite well and I'm happy with the progress so far, Would I build another ? Hell yeah I would, the kit is well appointed and a great base to detail up and convert so expect to see a HC 4 and a RAF HAR3 at some point, ( not the next build )   So on to the pictures, I managed to knock off the downlink dipole antenna so 'll have to add that again.     More later  Dan
moaning dolphin
An exquisite rendition and it does more than capture the essence of the mighty king, I doff ones hat in respect! Â Bob

Dads203
Thank you chaps  Adding the smaller details around the airframe, a couple of red pipes that are above the front screens in the cockpit, not sure what they are but I've added them. Also added the ice secretion probe on the side of the nose.  I've still got a few bits to add and some tidying up of the front cockpit framing but I'm slowly getting there.      The red areas have had a red brown panel wash at this point and things are looking good   Regards  Dan

Dads203
Thank you chaps,  Working on the main and tail rotors now, *still some snagging points to sort out so it's not yet finished (Andy ) I added the static wicks to the rotor blade ends and some didn't survive the masking up phase so these will get added later. Black squares added to the underside of each blade. We are almost finished        Very difficult to get this focused, one hand holding the stand and the other the camera so please excuse the poor picture.    So I still have to mask up the slinging stripes on the blades, add the rear view mirrors and do a touch more weathering.   Regards  Dan

Dads203
Thank you chaps for the likes and the great feedback  The Sea king is almost done, just need to add the rear view mirrors and its finished, just the base and Perspex support rod to sort out and it’s well and truely done  my first for 2018.  Slinging strips masked up and sprayed up, a bit more exhaust staining, I used MRP Exhaust soot and its great, very flat finish which contrasts with the satin finish of the airframe.     HF wire antenna insulator painted up.   Sorted the static wicks out.   Mirrors painted up, most of this will probably come off when I cut out and clean them up   Cheers for looking in   Dan

Dads203
Thank you chaps, not far to go now  chuffed you like it :-)  Andy, the PE set is for the Fujimi US Navy Sea King and the part you asked about is for the jump seat by the broom cupboard I think, the grid is the webbing seat back.  More tomorrow  Dan
