Rafhart
Hi I am a model, I decided to build my own bending tool, I built the first one in 2016, now after 6 months of testing, building models, bending sheet PE, I built the next model. How do you like it ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5zNurbdNJw
Mike
I like it a lot My old Mission Models one got a bit out of true after I dropped it, so I'm idly looking out for a new one. 1 hour ago, Rafhart said: Hi I am a model I'm not making fun, as I realise you are from Poland, and English is probably not your first language. If you say "I am a modeller", less people will laugh and think you pose for the camera or walk up and down a catwalk at a fashion show Your English is a MILLION times better than my Polish, which is non-existent
Vince1159
I haven't got a clue what PE is (the only PE i know is the torture i had to do at school) but that looks a great job...
Caerbannog
PE = photo etch Looks good. I have a similar one but only use it for more difficult bending jobs. Usually I use a PE bending plier from Tamiya which is less acurate but more quickly to handle :-) René

rayprit
I second what Rene has to say, I have a similar bending tool also........I can hold n fold parts as often as I like, but its not often............may use it once or twice per year, they can be purchased in various sizes, ranging from 2 inch ................right through to 8 inch if memory serves me well........currently building a kit that has 7 sheets of PE, so, had to blow a lot of dust off it...............very expensive, when first purchased but worth it if you have a lot of kits where PE is involved

Rafhart
I have a great request, do you know any store in the UK that would be interested in such bends, because I wrote to several and I have no answer, probably because I am a model and not a modeler;) or vice versa;)
Mike
I would seriously consider looking at a couple of the Vendors that have forums on britmodeller. There are a few that specialise in tools etc., so have a look down the list
Rafhart
Anodizing went so well, unless it was dark enough to allow long work.

Gorby
That looks great. The price has always put me off buying one, so if you can sell them for something more reasonable, I'd be interested.
Blackfordhibby
Looks to be a great tool, that could fulfill a need on my workbench. Like the previous poster it would be a price driven purchase for me. Peter
Rafhart
Thank you, looking for a distributor who would be interested, some model shop or something.
Gorby
It's a shame that you can't sell them yourself online. If you cut out the middle-man, you could sell them for less and the lower price would interest more people. Myself included. I fully agree with @Blackfordhibby, my potential purchase would also be price driven – too expensive and I'll manage with what I have. Anyway, good luck, it looks like you have put a lot of effort into producing not only a useful tool, but an attractive looking tool, so I hope it is successful.
Rafhart
Thank you, I got some of them and I would have liked to have a deal with a modeling shop. I hope to get along well, thank you very much.
Blackfordhibby
Rafhart Best of luck in your enterprise, nothing ventured nothing gained. As I said earlier if the price is right you'll sell a shed load. Regards, Peter
Rafhart
Sorry for my english, so it looks like a video. https://youtu.be/FCm47MTKd0o Edited July 20, 2017 by Rafhart
Blackfordhibby
Good evening Rafhart The video certainly makes things look a lot easier. Unlike the faffing about that I do with two woodruff keys and a pair of pliers. I hope that you find a UK stockist in the near future. We can then see if the price fits the budget. Best wishes, Peter
Rafhart
Hello, unfortunately I did not find a modeling shop that would like to order bending machines. Thank you all for the comments, I wish you many successful models and I will probably make a difference as I will be building the third version. Best wishes. I think this is the best way to sell them. Get product liability insurance and sell them on online or via ebay.
Rafhart
And yet I have found a distributor who can send abroad. https://www.super-hobby.co.uk/products/Zaginarka-do-elementow-fototrawionych-Photo-Etch-Bending-Tool.html or http://agtom.eu/en/benders/340756-zaginarka-rafhart-2017-photo-etch-bending-tool.html Edited July 25, 2017 by Rafhart
Gorby
I'm pleased that you have at least one distributor, but it's out of my price range.
