Sabrejet
Gorgeous! Must start saving for my kit of a lifetime...
NS60
Further work on the Ferrari, seats installed MFH give you sticky back plastic to represent leather. Tried it and it looked naff, so painted them with shading and satin varnish. I take it the red pad is for the drivers knee to rest on? Fuel tank fitted with a bit of fuel tarnishing.
Sabrejet
Yep - a thing of beauty. I've seen those leather seats tried on CMC models and they just don't work. Yours is a far better approach!
Mark_1984
I agree about the seats - painting is a far better option than faux leather. Hard to believe your looking at a model and not the real thing !! Edited September 1, 2017 by Mark_1984

NS60
Body shell primed and rubbed down ready for that glorious red that is Ferrari.
Codger
Use the pink primer for that red...
Sabrejet
I'd go for a dark primer: these earlier Ferraris weren't the bright Rosso Corsa that modern cars of the type are: more of a darker shade.
silver911
Very nice progress If I may suggest....the battery looks precarious without the 'retaining' strap...a minor thing...but with the level of detail already there...it would be a shame to leave it out IMHO. Was also going to suggest a darker primer....maybe 'red oxide' ? Ron Edited October 4, 2017 by silver911 added text
NS60
Thanks guys, think I will add the strap didnt see how noticable it was by not being there. Going to use Zero paints red and 2 pack laquer. Dont know who it was but they did a primer comparison with white, pink and grey. the white and pink showed no difference in the final colour but the grey definately made the red darker as was stated more like an Alfa red. Ron The MFH battery is I think a particularly poor effort & although it may not look like it, the top & bottom retaining frames are cast with the battery as are the vertical tie rods (one at each end). The rods look more like a vertical rib on the casting though. Regards Russell
