Scratchbuilder
You asked for other stuff I'd done..... Here is the narrow boat, Heather Bell, on which my wife and I lived for 5 years. This is to 4mm scale, so is a mere 28 mm wide and 280mm long. I should point out that the assymetry of the internal layout is carefully replicated. No two wrought iron knees were opposite each other or of a similar spacing! One team built one side of a wooden boat, another built the tother side! In a week! To the best of my knowledge this will be the only truly accurate model of a wooden narrow boat made, as it really should be as it was our home for 5 years! Two are restored in Scotland - Reaper FR.958 at the Fisheries Museum in Anstruther, http://www.scotfishmuseum.org/reaper and the Swan LK.243 http://www.swantrust.com/ Worth checking out Swan at speed in a squall here (especially at ~1 min in! Pull back your volume a wee bit) Fast viking ships! That's just grand. Grant On June 22, 2017 at 8:23 PM, clipper said:
