Builder
Hi All, This is my completed Tamiya 1/72 F-4 G Phantom II. Build Summary This kit was built OOB with the exception of photo etch seat belts. The colour scheme is from the instructions. They are for a German aircraft. I broke off the small antenna like pieces on the tail wing, and did not really replace them. The kit has raised panel detail which I highlighted using a copic multiliner marker. It was painted using Humbrol enamels, Tamiya enamels and Tamiya Laquers. This kit is probably not accurate. I have not built it to be accurate. Accuracy is not my concern. The build and finish, however I am interested in. Kit Details (from www.scalemates.com) Title: McDonnell F-4G Phantom II Number: 60713 Scale: 1:72 Type: Full kit Includes: Plastic sprues, Waterslide decals, Clear parts Released: 1994 - This is a rebox of Italeri kit 133 released in 198. Final Reveal Video Final Photos I hope you all liked the post. As always, all comments welcome. Edited January 10, 2018 by Builder
martinBK
Nice What-if plane ; no F-4G in German air force (F-4G were never sold to foreign countries).
qn30jEkPz7
I thought that as well but Tamiya fo seem box this with Turkish and German options http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/list/72plane/html/60713.htm In any case it looks good
jean
Tamiya should have said F-4F... But that is only a semantic problem. It does not detract from the fact that it is a great looking build. I love Phantoms!!! Congratulations! JR
