Head in the clouds.
Well I hear you ask, what has a Napoleonic fort to do with Aviation? I had my helicopter flight at Leven north of Beverley today and thought I would go to Fort Paull to have a look at the Blackburn Beverley, it would be a good chance to get some close up pics for my Micro-Mir kit awaiting it's turn in my stash. While there I came across a Hunter F6 that was previously outside the old Airfix factory and a 3 wing plane designed for popping Zeppelins in WW1 which I did not expect to find. The Fort itself is interesting with items spreading across warfare and several hundred of years of history, both local and national, however, there seemed to me to be a small band of dedicated people with not a lot of money doing their best to maintain this unusual museum. If you are around the city of culture 2017(Hull) then please visit this museum as without it the last Beverleys future will be far less certain. I have no connection to this museum and these opinions are mine alone. Thanks Gary
