galgos Posted August 7, 2017 Author Share Posted August 7, 2017 I thought that the undercarriage seemed a bit fragile on my model, well yesterday a small piece of card toppled onto the starboard wing tip and the u/c leg snapped off! The problem is that the break surface area is very small, just a couple of mms so i) it's inherently weak as a design, ii) there's very little leeway for correction, iii) there's very little surface area to hold any glue, iv) the angle of the u/c leg works against a strong repair. The only way that I could see fixing it was drilling either side of the break and inserting a wire pin, which I've managed fortunately: 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
